Acts 16:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.
You ask; "How do I believe?"
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.
And you think, it can't be that simple. All I have to do is cry out to
the Lord Jesus from my heart?
Yes, he knows your innermost desires. Because of remorse and change of
heart, the thief on the cross next to Jesus just simply asked for Christ
to remember him. Luke 23:42
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
not by works, so that no one can boast.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
Believing on "Jesus Christ is Salvation"!
You are thinking; "What about the sin in my life?"
When a person is truly seeking and believing in Jesus, a change is made
in your heart.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Ezekiel 36:26 Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit
within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and
give you a heart of flesh.
With this renewing of the heart and refreshing love (or rebirth) we now have a new desire to seek to be closer to God.
Luke 10:27 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your
soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your
neighbor as yourself.
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.
The closer you get to Him; your worries, troubles, & carnal pleasures/desires of this life will reduce their dominion over you.
John 14:15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
By love we keep his commandments not by will or works but by
"LOVE".
This new love will bear fruit.
Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by
the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him
who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so
that you might go and bear fruit
Pray and seek God formost, and read the bible daily. Ask for wisdom and knowledge of the word through his Holy Sprit when you read and pray.
